Many people with go through life with the symptoms without seeking help, believing that it is just 'part of them', but in truth, the illness is very treatable.

  • Feeling tired and having less energy.
  • having short concentration levels or not being able to remember things.
  • Pessimistic thoughts.
  • Not being able to make decisions.
  • Low self esteem and self worth. Feelings of guilt.

Due to the stigma that still seems to be attached to the illness even today, a lot of people still chose to go through life without ever seeking help, accepting that the feelings and emotions are 'part of them'.

Depression is very treatable. I provide a range of therapies, including Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy,(CBT), and the use of counselling skills which can have a significant impact on erasing the symptoms you may be experiencing. Unlike a supplement or pill, which help relieve the symptoms, Hypnotherapy helps to establish the cause of your present symptoms. It also helps to break your learned responses to situations. Very often, once there is an understanding where your depressive symptoms were born and what triggers them, change can happen almost immediately. Additionally, the use of CBT helps to change those negative thoughts and emotions to positive ones by challenging your negative beliefs. Finally, the use of counselling skills helps you to express the emotion linked to your symptoms.

Each one of these therapies alone, works in a very positive way but when used together the change you can experience can be very rapid and more importantly...PERMANENT.

The effectiveness of hypnotherapy lies in the fact that the routes of depression reside in our unconscious mind, that part of us that controls our beliefs, feelings, emotions and behaviours. And it’s our unconscious mind that is responsible getting us deeply absorbed in the erroneous or negative patterns of thinking, behaving and relating to others that are often the primary symptoms of depression.

Hypnosis and the therapy within bypasses the conscious mind and creates an alternative state of consciousness in which attention can be focused away from the present reality. Rather like day dreaming, attention can then be focussed towards particular images, thoughts, perceptions, feelings, motivations and behaviours which will help change our habitual responses and learnt behaviours, as well as help create new perspectives over past experiences.

Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and the use of Counselling skills are proven to be a fast and effective means of teaching people new ways of thinking; a vehicle for accessing new possibilities for feelings and behaviours, in a quick and integrated manner.
